My name is Irit Gross and I am the founder of the IDF injured veterans' portal (www.pnz.co.il). The portal was founded nearly 20 years ago out of a sense of mission and responsibility to provide injured IDF veterans with a community, access to vital information, a support system, and assistance on a range of issues (including medical, legal and benefits). 

The IDF injured veterans' portal provides a warm home in which our veterans—regardless of the extent or type of injury they suffered—can remain updated regarding their rights and benefits, find legal information and resources, receive news and updates, and be part of a supportive community that will stick with each other until the end: from the time they are injured and dealing with the initial consequences through to the daily coping with their new limitations.

Assisting injured IDF veterans

Within the framework of our activities, we have provided thousands of injured IDF veterans with important information regarding their rights and the state's obligations to them across a wide range of areas such as: housing, transportation, medical assistance, rehabilitation.  We also provide these injured veterans with assistance in dealing with the different bureaucratic hurdles with different government agencies.  In doing so, we have also created a unique algorithm for searching and finding information regarding their legal rights according to their own personal situation. 

We have also conducted raffles and promotions for the injured veterans.  We helped organize the annual delegation of the Canadian Association of Victims of War (IVOW).  Members of the portal also receive a monthly newsletter with updates and upcoming events and activities.
